The following is a letter from Fr. Grippo prior to the 2005 feast.

Dear Friends,

Mark your calendars for our 9th Annual Outdoor Feast in honor of our Patroness, St. Theresa.  This year’s feast will be held on July 20 through July 24, 2005.  This year’s theme is “The Eucharist…The Heart of Our Community,” which is the late Pope John Paul II’s theme for this liturgical year.  As in the past, our feast will include nightly religious services, our annual procession through the streets of our parish with the statue of St. Theresa, a variety of food, rides, games, nightly entertainment, outdoor flea market and a casino in the gym.

We are also holding our annual GRAND RAFFLE with a grand prize of a 2005 Cadillac CTS or $30,000 in cash, a 2^nd prize of $1,000 cash and a 3^rd prize of $500 cash.  Only 1000 tickets will be sold at a cost of $100 per ticket.  With an investment of $100 you have a chance to win $30,000! 

This year we are mailing 2 tickets to our parishioners. Please consider buying one and ask your friends, family and co-workers to share the cost of the other. With your help, we can successfully meet our goal of selling 1000 tickets.  This is our parish’s major fundraiser and your generosity will help us strengthen our community through the educational, spiritual and cultural programs we support and continue to provide.   Your help in selling these raffle tickets will be greatly appreciated.  Remember -- the seller of the winning Grand Prize ticket drawn on July 24^th receives $100! All raffle stubs can be returned to the Rectory, to a volunteer outside the church each weekend or to the raffle table at the feast itself.  Additional tickets are available at the same locations for those who do not receive the mailing.

If your ticket stubs are in before June 20, you will qualify for our early bird drawing.  The winner of the early bird drawing receives five (5) additional FREE tickets for the Grand Raffle, giving the winner SIX chances to win! 

Starting mid-May, advanced ride tickets can be purchased in the rectory or in the Church gift shop.  Buy ten (10) ride tickets for $18.00 and save $7.00.  Why wait on lines and pay more?  Save time and money by purchasing your tickets now.
